2018 Region III Conference

     The NAAE Region III Conference will help you find professional development that will help you improve your agriculture classroom.  Attendees will have a great opportunity to interact with NAAE and understand how your state organization fits in the national scope and how you can assist and network with agricultural educators outside your state's borders.  Agricultural educators from Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin will be attending this conference.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

  • To register online use the following link: Region III Conference Registration.
  • Once you hit the registration link then click on ADD TO CART, and create a new student profile with information needed marked with an asterisk.
  • Payment must be made by credit or debt card at time of registration.
  • For direct billing, please click here to download the form.  Once this form is returned to Kirkwood Community College you can call (319-398-1022) to register.

  • Hotel accommodations are available at The Hotel at Kirkwood Center.

CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS AND TOURS:

  • Please click here for Workshops and Tours information.  Workshops will offered both Monday and Tuesday of conference.  Tours will take place Tuesday afternoon.  After you register for conference an email will be sent to you.  At that time, please register for the workshop(s) and tour that you plan to participate in.  this process will help workshop presenters and tour guides plan for your participation.

  • 10:30 AM - Professional Development Workshops
  • 1:45 AM - Lunch on Your Own
  • 1:00 PM - Professional Development Workshops
  • 6:00 PM - Evening Social/Meal - Taste of Kirkwood

TUESDAY:

  • 9:00 AM - Breakfast with Guest Speaker - TBD
  • 9:00 AM - Second Business Session
  • 10:30 AM - Professional Development Workshops
  • 11:30 AM - Luncheon - Guest Speaker, Morgan Ball, Linn County Farm Bureau, Education Outreach Coordinator
  • 1:00 PM - Tours
  • 6:00 PM - Evening Social/Meal - Executive Technology Amphitheatre Cooking Demonstration

WEDNESDAY:

  • 8:00 AM - Breakfast with Guest Speaker - TBD
  • 9:00 AM - Third Business Session


ATTENDANCE:

  • Five IAAE Board members are needed to fulfill voting delegate obligations as well as committee assignments.
  • IAAE Board Policy states that first year VPs on the IAAE Board must attend the Region III Conference if they would like to have their expenses paid by the Association when they attend the NAAE Convention during the second year of their term.

 

FUNDS AVAILABLE:
  • District Outstanding Young Member Winners - A $75.00 stipend for each Outstanding District Young Member is available for those wanting to attend the NAAE Region III Conference in the year that they are selected as the district winner. (See "Awards" page for winners)
  • IAAE Board Members - The cost of registration and hotel is paid for each board member not to exceed the amount budgeted in the IAAE Budget.
  • First Time Attendees -

    A $25.00 dollar first-time attendee stipend per District (including Post Secondary) is available.  The first-time member from each District (including Post Secondary) is to notify the President that they will be attending the NAAE Region III Conference for the first time will receive the stipend.
